WE KNOW YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE'RE HERE TO HELP.
As you explore your retirement community options, these frequently asked questions may help you gain a better understanding of what makes Judson Park different.
What is a CCRC?
Judson Park is a fully accredited continuing care retirement community (CCRC), a lifestyle option enjoyed by thousands of seniors for more than 50 years. CCRCs emphasize lifelong learning, personal growth, and health and well-being. As a CCRC, Judson Park offers four lifestyle options — residential living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory support — as well as convenient services and amenities, maintenance-free living in a residential setting, and personal support designed to help maintain health and independence for as long as possible.
What is the benefit of a not-for-profit community?
Judson Park’s not-for-profit status encompasses numerous benefits. First and foremost, the entire focus of the community is to provide a quality, meaningful and secure life for all its residents. Other not-for-profit benefits such as a foundation to provide support if a resident experiences financial difficulties, direction by a dedicated board of directors, reinvestment of funds into the community, favorable tax credits and exemptions, preferred pricing on goods and services, and reduced operating costs can result in more stabilized and predictable monthly fees for all residents.
What are the costs involved with living at Judson Park?
The payment structure for a residential living apartment home at Judson Park consists of a one-time entrance fee and a predictable monthly fee based on apartment size and style. We offer three different contract options to give you maximum flexibility. If health care services are needed, a portion of the cost for these services is provided at discounted rates. A monthly fee includes a flexible dining program, utilities, housekeeping, flat linen service, local transportation and 24-hour security, all in addition to lifetime priority access to assisted living, skilled nursing care and memory support services, if ever needed.
Do the residents own their apartment homes?
Residents of Judson Park do not actually own their apartment homes. Nevertheless, the residency agreement provides the stability of ownership while maintaining additional flexibility, security and availability of on-site health care in a maintenance-free setting. For example, if residents choose to move to a smaller residential living apartment, they will not have the burden of selling their residence or the transaction fees associated with real estate.
I’m not sure I’m ready yet. Why should I move to Judson Park now?
Research shows that 70% of how you age depends on your lifestyle choices. CCRC residents benefits from factors such as better nutrition, active companionship, increased personal security and stress reduction, which all lead to more successful aging.
